1. What is the Open Society?

This is an initiative promoted by INAI by means of its Permanent Commission of Open Government and Transparency (Currently, Permanent Commission of Access, Open Government and Transparency Policies), in order to promote the knowledge about the concepts of open government and proactive transparency among university students to foster their involvement in public issues and the use of information to improve their quality of life.

This project is developed within the framework of a General Collaboration Agreement executed by INAI and the Western Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESO).

2. What has been done?

In 2017, a General Collaboration Agreement was entered into by and between INAI and Technological Institute of Higher Education in the West (ITESO), which has as main objectives that both institutions, within the context of their respective regulations and competences, set collaboration actions to professionalize, foster, spread and promote Open Government and Proactive Transparency.

Additionally, as part of this collaboration, the Booklet No. 24 of INAI about Open Government was presented in the Guadalajara International Book Fair, on November 30, 2017.

3. How can I participate in this project?

If you are interested in participating in this project and you are part of a higher education institution, you may do it through the following activities:

  • Forums, events, courses, seminars, workshops, certificate programs.
  • Information campaigns.
  • Joint activities of teaching, training, investigation, curriculum design.
  • Co-edition and publication of books and magazines.
  • Social service or professional practices.
